A Syrian man injured in a landmine explosion in an area near the Turkish border was dragged to the Turkish side by locals using a rope from the area but he succumbed to his wounds in hospital. Abdulgafar Elut, 39, had illegally crossed into Syria's Jarablus from Turkey's Gaziantep, where he had been living with his family since 2013, and stepped on the mine, reportedly planted by Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) militants, while he was returning.
