Vessel operators complain that seven vessels impounded due to legal troubles at the Aliağa port in the western Turkish city of İzmir pose a threat to ships arriving and leaving the port. Occasional storms are concerning locals that the ships may drift towards the shore. Two vessels already ran aground in February and yesterday after strong winds drifted them.
