Locals claim negligence on the part of police after two bodies were discovered in a burned house 40 days after a fire devoured a four-story building in Istanbul's Fatih district. Two residents had managed to escape the flames uninjured. A landlord cleaning the wreckage on Wednesday found a corpse amid the ruins and when she returned to the premises for further cleaning on Sunday she discovered another corpse. Locals claimed firefighters and police did not thoroughly search the premises and closed the case prematurely.
