Ten activists forcing their way in the Istanbul offices of the Family and Social Policies Ministry to protest violence against women engaged in a quarrel with female staff. Seven staff members of the ministry office were slightly injured in yesterday's incident. Activists gathered in front of the building in Istanbul's Cağaloğlu district and staged a protest. Security guards attempted to prevent the group from entering the building but they stormed the building anyway, trashing furniture inside and chanting slogans, "we will stop the murder of women." They hung banners denouncing violence on the windows and struck staff members inside the building.
