Two PKK members were captured dead after the PKK attacked the County District Gendarmerie Command and the District Police Directorate simultaneously in Van, eastern Turkey on Friday.
The terrorists opened fire on Turkish security forces with rockets and long-barreled weapons. In the simultaneous attack which started around at 20:30 p.m. in the district of Çatak in Van, police and guards immediately took control of the situation and killed two PKK terrorists while one ranger got injured.
A wide range air supported operation in the region was launched after the attack. The operation continues with the support of cobra helicopters to stop the on-the-run terrorists from escaping by taking advantage of the dark.
