Eleven people were injured when a large chandelier fell on a congregation convened at a mosque in central Turkey on Friday.
The Muslim faithful were listening to a sermon at the Ahmet-Ayşe İnci Mosque in the province of Kayseri minutes before the weekly Friday prayers when the chandelier fell from the ceiling.
Fellow Muslims helped the injured who were later hospitalized with minor injuries.
Eyewitnesses said the chandelier was installed a few hours before the incident. Police launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
