The Netherlands will dispatch a search team to find 22-year-old Joey Hoffman, who went missing in southern Turkey last month.

Hoffman was in the Silifke district of Mersin province with fellow Dutchman Bjorn Breukers and his Turkish wife Derya Ün Breukers when he went missing on July 8.

The young man was looking for a plot of land to purchase.

Turkish police and gendarmerie teams scoured the area where he went missing, but to no avail.

Breukers and his wife, who were detained for drug use, told the police that Hoffman separated from them when they were inspecting a countryside area to see the land he planned to buy.
