A building in southeastern Diyarbakır province that was used by PKK terrorists to make bombs has been rendered nonoperational by security forces. A concrete mixer was also seized by security forces, which was used for mixing chemicals and manure.
Security forces carried out an operation in the Lice district of southeastern Diyarbakır province after five terrorists, who surrendered during clashes in rural areas in the district, confessed.
Two of the terrorists are serving life sentences. For the other three terrorists, the investigation continues.
Meanwhile a curfew was declared in 11 villages in the Lice, Hazro and Kocaköy districts due to anti-terror operation preparations against PKK terrorists.
According to a statement by the Diyarbakır Governorate, the anti-terror operation aims to clear shelters, coves, depots and flak positions in the mountainside and forestland in the Lice, Hazro and Kocaköy districts used by PKK terrorists.
