The death toll in the attack on an hotel in the Tunisian coastal city of Sousse has risen to 37, with 36 wounded, Tunisian radio recently reported citing the health ministry. The Health Ministry said the dead include Tunisian, British, German and and Belgian nationals.The ministry's spokesman Mohammed al-Aroui adds that an attacker has been killed in an exchange of fire with police.A security source at the scene said the body of one gunmen armed with a Kalashnikov assault rifle lay where police had shot him dead. It was unclear whether there were other assailants.Sousse is one of the North African country's most popular beach resorts, drawing tourists from Europe and neighbouring countries. Tunisia has been high alert since gunmen attacked the Bardo museum in Tunis in March, killing a group of foreign visitors.
