A U.S. couple unexpectedly received 65 pounds (30 kilograms) of cannabis inside an order they received from online shopping giant Amazon, reports said Tuesday.

According to reports, the couple living in Orlando had ordered plastic storage bins and found the cannabis inside the package they received from an Amazon facility in Massachusetts.

The couple, who did not want to be identified for safety reasons, said they immediately contacted police after finding the drug inside their order.

"When the first officer got here, she was in disbelief," the couple was quoted as saying by the WFTV.

Amazon had reportedly offered to give $150 in compensation for what happened, but the couple refused, saying that the company did not offer an apology or consider safety of their customers, noting that the issue could have turned into something more dangerous for them if the smugglers found out about who received the package.

Meanwhile, Amazon officials noted that they will cooperate with police regarding the case: "Our customer service team worked directly with the customer to address concerns and will work with law enforcement to investigate the case, as needed," the company said in a statement.
