Nine remain in intensive care after Ankara terrorist attack

Thirty-one of the people injured in Sunday's terrorist suicide bombing continue to receive treatment at hospitals across the capital, with nine still in intensive care, the Health Ministry announced on Thursday.

The car bomb attack in Ankara's central Kızılay neighborhood Sunday evening hit a major public transportation hub, killing 35 people and injuring dozens of others.

The Interior Ministry has identified the bomber as 24-year-old Seher Cagla Demir, who joined the PKK terrorist group in 2013 and received training with the YPG in Syria.

Involvement of a suspected second attacker is also investigated.
