For the power of music!

This weekend the wounds in Van will be wrapped with the love of music. An aid concert for Van will be held this Sunday, October 30th, with numerous performers at the Maçka Küçükçiftlik Park.

As a country, we have faced difficult times over the past week. With the deaths of our soldiers in the line of duty still fresh on our minds, the 7.2 earthquake in Van has us deeply troubled. It is at these times, when it is everyone's duty to unify together and do all that we can to help.
Despite the devastating losses, the aid that has been collected over the past two days has been a source of relief. Another source of aid, which has been organized over the past two days, will be this weekend's Rock for Van (Van için Rock). The details of this weekend's relief concert have been finalized. The program filled with numerous well-loved bands, will take place this Sunday, October 30th at the Maçka Küçükçiftlik Park.

It's our turn to prove the unifying strength that music possesses. Even if those from out of town are unable to attend they can still buy tickets, the proceeds of which will go to help the quake victims in Van. Istanbul residents however should try their best to make it to this very special concert. The 20TL tickets will be up for sale on Biletix as of tomorrow and all proceeds will go to Red Crescent.
