Nihat Kantemir, who has played in "Kurtlar Vadisi" (Valley of the Wolves) among other Turkish TV dramas and theater plays was attacked on Tuesday in Sefaköy, Istanbul in his car. Kantemir left his house, located in Sefaköy's Maslakçeşme Avenue at 2:00 p.m. and got into his car. An unidentified attacker approached Kantemir before he could start his car and fired 14 bullets. Witnesses called 112 (the emergency services line) and the police and an ambulance arrived immediately. Unfortunately, the young actor passed away at the hospital. The police are still searching for his attacker and a thorough investigation is underway. Since the incident took place during the day, the security cameras at nearby shops and city surveillance camera records are being investigated and police are hoping to find the suspect soon.
