‘I Am Always a Bit Less of a Bit Too Much’

Muse Istanbul welcomes the new season with the group exhibition "Ben Hep Bir AzFazla" (I Am Always a Bit Less of a Bit Too Much). Curated by Ezgi Bakçay, the exhibition showcases photography, painting, sculpture, ceramic and new media works by Turkish artists including Ayşe Kurşuncu, Arzu Arbak, Bahadır Yıldız, Cem Ersavcı, Evren Erol, Işık Özçelik, Meliha Sözeri, Nur Gürel, Özgür Demirci, Serenay Şahin, Serkan Yüksel, Sevgi Yaman and Uğur Çolak. The exhibition project underscores how human beings exceed themselves in the artistic process and explores the concept of excessiveness in color, shape, words and images while highlighting that artists always add something to their work from themselves. The artists also show the relation between deprivation and excessiveness. Visitors have the chance to examine how humans create art by excluding functional, controllable and measurable dimensions. One can focus on the relationship between images and expression as well as eyes and perception while discovering each work of art. The exhibition will be on display until Nov. 21.
