Lütfi Kırdar: The global congress center of digital age

Turkey's first international congress center, the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Convention and Exhibition Center (ICEC), offers digital services to visitors with its project "Global Congress Center of Digital Age: Lütfi Kırdar." This project will benefit from the advantages of digitization to avoid paper waste as well as to enable better communication while holding separate events either at different times or the same time. The project also aims to develop regional tourism, develop congress tourism in the area and provide interactive services through a digital platform by increasing the quality of such services. As a first of its kind, the project offers an innovative perspective for congress tourism and is a big step taken in order to execute media services and content management together both before and during the event.Visitors are offered different digital services at the ICEC, which has more than 40 halls. It also allows visitors to follow all panels and events via a digital platform whenever they wish. The ICEC continues to develop itself with its projects benefiting from advancing technology and marketing. It aims to increase awareness toward the environment through digitalization and boost international competitive capacities through technological innovation and by improving service quality in congress tourism. More details about the ICEC, which hosts many local and international events, is available on its website: www.icec.org/tr.bw. The project is supported by the "Global Tourism Center: Istanbul Financial Support" program initiated by Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA).
