Turkish series introduced at Cannes fair


Considered the world's most-established global TV and digital content market, MIPTV2016 kicked off in Cannes, France.The fair takes place at the Palais des Festivals et des Congres and is hosting 3,915 representatives of 1,632 TV and TV series companies. Expected to welcome around 11,000 visitors, the fair will host 20 Turkish TV and production companies. Representatives from TV, film, content and entertainment are expected to sign collaboration and distribution deals during the fair, and this year's guest of honor is Germany.The theme for MIPTV2016 is the "Power of Fans," and conferences and presentations will be given. Turkish TV channel ATV's acclaimed series "Kırgın Çiçekler" (Hurt Flowers) and FOX TV's "Kördüğüm" (Impasse) will be introduced to the fair participants. The Turkish TV sector stands out as the biggest and fastest-developing market in Europe, attracting nearly 400 million viewers from 75 countries.
