Organized as part of the third Ulaanbaatar Turkish Culture Days, which aims to strengthen Turkish-Mongolian cultural relations, Turkish Cinema Days has kicked off in the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar. The event was inaugurated by Turkey's Ambassador to Ulaanbaatar Murat Karagöz, with Çağan Irmak's 2011 film "Dedemin İnsanları" (My Grandfather's People) the first one to be screened for the attending movie buffs.On the 101st anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli, the film "The Water Diviner," starring Australian actor Russell Crowe along with Turkish actors Cem Yılmaz and Yılmaz Erdoğan, will be screened at the Turkish ambassador's residence.An Anzac Day service will take place with the participation of Turkish, Australian, New Zealand and British communities at the Choijin Lama Monastery tonight. Moreover, a photo exhibition titled "Scenery from Turkey" will be opened at the Mongolian Artists Union's exhibition hall. A Turkish gala reception will be held at the residence at 7 p.m. On April 27, Ambassador Karagöz will give a lecture titled "Turkey: Bridging cultures and civilizations" at the National University of Mongolia and Turkish opera singer Serap Çiftçi and pianist Nurser Ugan will give a performance in the State Opera and Ballet Theater on April 29. Ulaanbaatar's Turkish Culture Days will welcome Istanbul Mayor Kadir Topbaş as the guest of honor at this year's events."Vizontele," "İncir Reçeli" (Fig Jam), "Patron Mutlu Son İstiyor" (Boss Wants a Happy Ending), "Av Mevsimi" (Hunting Season), "Uzun Hikaye" (Long Story) and "Organize İşler" (Magic Carpet Ride) will be screened during the event, which will end on April 29.
