The British Council commemorates British bard William Shakespeare on the 400th anniversary of his death. As part of the commemoration, the institution launched a series of international events - "Shakespeare Lives" - on April 23, which is believed to be the day of his birth and death. The Turkish leg of the commemoration features various cultural activities from stage plays to film screenings, radio programs and digital campaigns.
