Under the context of the 36th Annual Conference on Turkey-USA Relations, which is organized by Turkey US Business Council of Foreign Economic Relations Board and American Turkish Council, Moon held an exhibition and spoke to Anadolu Agency (AA).

- Copper Artisanship Education in Gaziantep

After graduation, Moon went to Gaziantep for a more comprehensive education in 2014. Talking about the 10-week education he took from the masters, Moon stated that he used the techniques of traditional Turkish handcrafts at every piece of work at the exhibition. Pointing that he apprenticed at different ateliers of different masters to be able to learn various techniques and patterns, Moon expressed his pleasure about learning the craft in Gaziantep.

- It's all but meditation to work on every single piece of work

Emphasizing that he works carefully on every work, "You have to concentrate on every single work, devoting yourself to it. If you are disturbed even for a second, a little mark may distort the pattern," said Moon.

Moon stated that he is busy with copper artisanship for three years in US and expressed his happiness about his recent exhibition, which was opened to visit at one of the most important museums of US, Smithsonian.

- Great deal of attention by Americans

Stating that copper handcrafts are quite new for Americans, Moons said, "They look at them again and again and say that they must be about 3,000 years old."

Moon added that he is giving courses for the youth and he will do whatever he can to be able to familiarize US with the craft, to the core of which he admires.
