Passengers can watch theater plays on Turkish Airlines flights
An advertisement was released recently to announce the protocol between THY and the City Theaters.

Turkish Airlines (THY) and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality City Theaters have recently signed protocol for cooperation which allowed plays performed by the City Theaters to be offered for viewing through THY's in-flight entertainment system as of June 1.

The plays will be offered on all domestic and international THY flights that feature its Planet Entertainment System. Complete with subtitles, the plays can be enjoyed by Turkish and international passengers alike.

This will help the City Theaters, having performed for over a century, to reach millions of THY passengers and hopefully attract newer audiences.

In addition to the films, TV programs and music content on the Planet Entertainment System, which is updated on a monthly basis, will now feature the City Theaters most popular, blockbuster hits on its content list.

This plays on this month's list were, "Saadet Hanım" ("Mrs. Saadet"), "Geç Kalanlar" ("The Late Comers"), "Pollyanna," "Karıncalar/Bir Savaş Vardı," ("The Ants / Once There Was a War"), and "Hayal-i Temsil" ("The Dream of Performance").

The plays were recorded by eight cameras shooting from different angles and using several special techniques, catching every gesture, facial expression and emotion of the actors in vivid detail.
