Exhibition where everyone can find traces of themselves

Curated by Antonio Cosentino, İrem Arcasoy's solo exhibition "Asıl Hikaye bu Olmalı" (This Must Be The Real Story) will be held at Nişantaşı ART212 from Nov. 3-8.

A contemporary artist, Arcasoy portrays her authentic style and compositions on canvas focusing on audiences' discovery of their own stories in her exhibition.

The faces in her work cannot be clearly seen as she changes identities or destroys them in order to reveal a larger range of colors and shapes, looking to make her audience find themselves in a larger story.

Each and every painting at the exhibition forms its own meaning but also creates certain wholeness to give the series a feel of an installation.

Speaking of Arcasoy's work, Antonio Cosentino said: "If every frame is approached with a general perspective, the singularity of the portraits makes them autonomous. Their looks and expressions take the audience in a direction where everyone can find something about themselves."

The opening ceremony of the exhibition will be held Friday, Nov. 3 at the gallery ART212.

It will be open until Wednesday, Nov. 8 and can be visited between 09:30 a.m. and 06:30 p.m., except on Sunday, Nov. 5.
