Exhibition kicks off to raise awareness about autism
The poster reads, u201cCan you sleep with peace of mind?

The exhibition titled "Pillow" at Istanbul Concept Gallery, held to support the Autism Strong Family Association (OGAD), opens tonight. The exhibition, which asks: "Can you sleep with peace of mind?" aims to be the voice of the worries of families with autistic individuals and also of people who are sensitive to the world. Curated by Işık Gençoğlu, the exhibition has pieces by 20 artists who raise the topics that have influenced them deeply or those they cannot understand. Choosing the topic as the one of the things that is feared, Gençoğlu reflects that we see around us things but behave as if there is no chance for us to experience them or that they are presented as normal in the media but actually surprise us.

Pieces by Ahmet Özparlak, Ahu Akgün, Aslı Özok, Barış Sarıbaş, Berna Karaçalı, Beyza Boynudelik, Ebru Yolver, Elena Papadimitriou, Enis Malik Duran, Evren Erol, Fulden Adatürk, Işıl Gönen, İpek Yeğinsü, Gabrielle Reeves, Gülen Eren, Meliha Sözeri, Murat Germen, Özcan Uzkur, Serkan Yüksel and Yılmaz Zenger are displayed at the exhibition, whose graphics designer is Recep Yılmaz.

Gençoğlu, director of Istanbul Concept Gallery and curator of the exhibition, said: "We invite you to ask about the topics that don't allow you to sleep through the universal language of art. We expect not only art lovers but everyone who is curious about life at our exhibition."
