Ankara chess museum just 'cannot help itself'


The Gökyay Foundation Chess Museum has brought together nearly 676 chess sets from 100 different countries on six continents for people in Ankara province. The museum will welcome Museum Week, which starts today and continues until May 24, with a full program. The museum, which visitors can enter free of charge today until 09.00 p.m., will present visitors with the "Japan Photography Conversation" and the photo exhibition "I Can't Help Myself."

Photography conversation and exhibition

On the first day of Museum Week, the Gökyay Foundation Chess Museum will host two events. In the "Japan Photography Conversation," photography artist Yavuz Ildız, a member of the Ankara Photography Artists Foundation (AFSAD), will share his impressions with guests. The conversation takes place at 07:00 p.m. and will be accompanied by Japanese chess sets.

Life in Senegal in Gamze Elİf Bozo's eyes

Photography artist Elif Gamze Bozo will exhibit unforgettable memories from her visit to Senegal in Africa with the photography exhibition "I Can't Help Myself." The artist, whose life is based on taking photos and writing, invites people to the exhibition, saying, "You should see the traces of the war, peace and historical process in Senegal with my eyes." The exhibition continues for a week and can be visited at Kırmızı Hall in the museum.
