The 23rd International Bodrum Ballet Festival, held in southwestern Türkiye's Muğla province, concluded with a performance of "Pinocchio.exe.”
Organized by the Directorate General of State Opera and Ballet under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the festival closed with "Pinocchio.exe,” performed by the Modern Dance Company of the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet (MDTİstanbul) at the North Moat Stage of Bodrum Castle.
Choreographed by Erika Silgoner, the production reimagines Carlo Collodi’s classic Pinocchio story through themes of reality, artificial intelligence, memory and what it means to be human.
The production, featuring music by Gökçe Özücoşkun, set and costume design by Gülden Sayıl and lighting design by Yasin Gültepe, drew strong interest from audiences.
The festival featured five different productions exploring various interpretations of ballet and dance, with a total of 10 performances presented to art lovers.
The festival attracted not only local audiences but also foreign tourists spending their holidays in Bodrum.
