A group of 10 Thai men have filed a complaint with local police claiming that they were scammed into marriage with a Thai woman who disappeared after she received dowries from them, deputy commander of the Crime Suppression Division Suwat Saengnum said Tuesday.

All of the men accused the 32-year-old woman of scamming them of between 200,000 to 500,000 baht ($6,000-15,000) each after wedding receptions were held, Saengnum said.

The men reside in different parts of Thailand, with the woman allegedly moving on to a new prospect after each scam. More men are expected to file complaints with the police, Suwat said.

Some of the men told local media that the woman approached them on Facebook, and that after spending a few months chatting and dating, they decided to get married.

She then disappeared after the dowries were transferred to her bank account.

The men also reported being duped into investing in the woman's fruit field.

Police are searching for the woman, who has an arrest warrant against her for stealing an ATM card three years ago. Her whereabouts are unknown, Suwat said.

It is not immediately known if police will charge Jariyaporn with fraud over the dowry scams, pending further investigation.
