Turkey's annual inflation in May announced as 6.58 percent


Turkey's annual rate of inflation rose slightly last month, the Turkish statistical institute (TurkStat) said on Friday.Official figures showed inflation increased to 6.58 percent in May from 6.57 percent in April.Monthly inflation increased by 0.58 percent in May from the previous month.Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages fell by 1.64 percent, the greatest decline, while the clothing and footwear sector saw the highest monthly increase with a rise of 8.04 percent.
