Renault resumes production at Bursa plant

After being affected by the worldwide "WanaCrypt0r 2.0" cyberattack, Renault was forced to halt production in several of its factories, but was set to resume regular activity at its Bursa plant yesterday.

According to the information obtained, following the meeting of the Renault Bursa plant senior executives in the evening hours, production is expected to resume at 4 a.m. The factory, which normally produces 1,310 vehicles per day, has not been able to continue its activities since Friday.

After a widespread cyberattack, the French carmaker temporarily halted its production at its sites in France and Bursa.

The statement released by the Renault group indicated that the company has been affected by the cyberattack since Friday, and the necessary steps have been taken to prevent the spread of the global attack. It was also noted in an earlier announcement that Renault shut down several French factories after the attack.
