Istanbul to host 4th Automotive Conference


The 4th World Automotive Conference (WAC) 2017, where global developments and new trends in the automotive market will be brought to the table, will be held in Istanbul on Oct. 11-12.

Within the scope of the conference, domestic and foreign representatives of the automotive sector will come together at the Istanbul Hilton Bosporus Hotel.

Over 50 speakers from the U.S., India, Saudi Arabia, Czech Republic, Serbia, Iran, Belgium and Hungary, as well as Turkey, will discuss the issues that will guide the future of the industry such as how global trends will affect the Turkish automotive industry, Industry 4.0 and the position of Turkey in digitalization that comes with robotics.

The conference will also cover topics such as smart transportation systems that will set the vision of the industry, electrification, smart mobility systems, technologies of the future such as driverless vehicles, and electric vehicles.

In WAC 2017, which also includes a special platform for entrepreneurs to introduce themselves and their projects, female representatives of the industry will get together at the breakfast program.

More than 550 participants, including representatives from 40 countries, are expected to attend the two-day conference, while the biggest turnout is expected from the Iranian sector representatives.

The officials from 14 automotive manufacturers in Turkey, including Ford Otosan, Toyota, BMC, Otokar, Isuzu, Renault, Karsan, Tofaş, Honda, Hyundai, Daimler, MAN, Temsa and Hattat, are also expected to take part in the various stages of the event.
