The 2014 FIBA World Championship for Women, the 17th edition of FIBA's premier international tournament for women's national basketball teams, will be held in Ankara and Istanbul, Turkey from Sept. 27 to Oct. 5, 2014. Turkey's women's national basketball team, will compete in the world championships for the first time.
