Istanbul favorite to host 2017 Final Four


Euroleague CEO Jordi Bertomeu has revealed that the host of the 2017 Final Four will be unveiled in June with Istanbul expected to be the nominated city. There is reported discussions on which venue in Istanbul will be used next year with both the Sinan Erdem Dome and Ülker Sports Arena in the frame to house the event, however Bertomeu has stated that there are other countries interested in hosting next year's showpiece event and talks are ongoing.

Among the cities Euroleague Basketball have highlighted are Belgrade, Paris, Kaunas, Prague and if completed on time, the VTB Arena in Moscow. Bertomeu also said that the Final Four venues for the next two years might be added as well.

"Until June we will announce the city that will host the next Final Four," Bertomeu said. "And probably also the next two."
