The second CNR Book Fair opens its door to the visitors on Friday with the '100th year of Çanakkale Victory' theme.Taking place in CNR EXPO Fair Center in Istanbul's district Yeşilköy, the fair is being held by CNR Holding with the support of Press Union, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of National Education, Istanbul Directorate of National Education and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.More than 550 events will be held in the fair, including panel discussions, workshops, autograph sessions and concerts, which is expected to host more than 250 publishing houses along with 600 brands.Anadolu Agency will also host a stand displaying the 'Year 2014 from Anadolu Agency's Cameras' exhibition, while the 'Battle of Çanakkale', also known as the Dardanelles Campaign, will be the focus of many activities such as the 'Çanakkale is Impassible' film screening and 'Comics from World Press on Battle of Çanakkale'.The fair will be offering fun and entertainment for children too. There will also be a 'Hababam Sınıfı' exhibition which is a famous Turkish comedy film.The book fair will host publishing houses, children's book publishers, non-government organizations, academic institutions, associations, unions, newspaper and magazine groups and many others. Some 350,000 book-lovers are expected to attend the event, which will be open until March 8.
