Proceeds of soup recipe book to benefit Syrian refugees

The world has disappointed millions of Syrian refugees. Even the richest countries have turned their back on this heartbreaking human drama and chosen to remain indifferent. The need for food is increasing day by day.

World-renowned chefs and food critics got together to ease the pain of Syrian refugees with the book "Soup for Syria." This project, in which each one provided one recipe, resulted in a great cookbook with striking photos and delicious soups. You can also be a part of this meaningful project to help ensure that basic food materials reach Syrian refugees, who are fighting for their lives. Collected by Barbara Abdeni Massaad, the book's revenues will be donated to Syrian refugees so that they can drink hot soup.

Among the chefs and food critics who contributed recipes to the book:

Mark Bittman, Anthony Bourdain, Alice Waters, Paula Wolfert, Yotam Ottolenghi, Claudia Roden, Greg Malouf, Ana Sortun, Sami Tamimi, Aglaia Kremezi, Carolyn Kumpe, Wendy Rahamut, Joe Barza, Sally Butcher, Troth Wells, Garrett Melkonian, Alexis Couquelet, Fernando Gomez, Jane Hughes, Nur İlkin, Aline Kamakian and Sheilah Kaufman.
