Turkey c/a deficit to widen in short term
Turkey's current account deficit, a major weak point in the economy, will continue to widen in the short-term due to low base effects, Central Bank Governor Durmus Yilmaz said on Tuesday.
He also said in a speech that the bank's recent measures, which include raising reserve requirement ratios to restrain loan growth, would begin to take effect from the second quarter.
