Turkish TAV April passenger numbers up 16 percent

Turkish airports operator TAV Airports said on Thursday its April passenger numbers rose 16 percent to 4.1 million.



Passenger numbers for the January-April period increased 10 percent to 14.25 million, TAV said.

TAV Airports announced a first-quarter net loss of 31 million lira ($20 million) last week, little changed. Sales increased 35 percent to 387 million lira.

TAV runs airports in Turkey, Georgia, Tunisia and has been eyeing a Medina airport tender due on June 5.
