Tender to be held for maintenance of Bosphorus bridges

Foreign and national firms will be competing in a tender for large-scale maintenance and repair work on the Bosphorus and Fatih Sultan Mehmet bridges in Istanbul.



On Wednesday, a tender will be held open to foreign and local firms for planned maintenance and repair work on the Bosphorus Bridge and the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, which link together Asia and Europe in the center of Istanbul.

The firm that wins the tender will be embarking on a large-scale repair and maintenance project, which will include repairing all leaning suspension cables to stand upright.

The tender will be open to all foreign and local firms that apply. Bids must be submitted to the General Directorate of Highways by the date and time of the tender. Applicants will be submitting bids according to a lump sum turnkey price.

NO CONSORTIUMS

Applicants will also be submitting a temporary deposit of at least three percent of the price they will be proposing. The tender will not be accepting bids in the form of a consortium.
