Stockbreeding in Turkey has grown drastically in the last decade


According to information compiled by an Anadolu Agency reporter from Food, Agriculture and Livestock Ministry data, the number of cattle increased 40 percent while the number of sheep and goats increased 30 percent in the last 10 years.Also, the production of milk, meat and poultry rose 73 percent, 125 percent and 116 percent, respectively. The number of beehives increased 60 percent and honey production rose 39 percent. However, cocoon production in silkworm farming decreased 45 percent.
