After launching two power generating ships to Ghana and Indonesia, Karadeniz Holding has started to build the world's largest energy ship, the Orhan Ali Khan, which has a production capacity of 460 megawatts (MW). Karadeniz Holding, one of the world's leading energy ship producers, is continuing to expand its fleet. The company sent the 240-MW Karadeniz Powership Ayşegül Sultan to Ghana and the 125-MW Karadeniz Powership Zeynep Sultan to Indonesia in a ceremony attended by Energy and Natural Resources Minister Ali Rıza Alaboyun. Karadeniz Holding CEO Orhan Remzi Karadeniz said the two ships were completely manufactured in Turkey, adding that the Orhan Ali Khan Karadeniz Powership, which has a 460-MW capacity and is 300 meters long, is slated to be completed in August 2016. Karadeniz also said that the power generating ships bring electricity to hospitals, schools, houses and factories in countries where they are deployed, continuing: "Thus, they contribute to the economic development of those countries. That is why we call the Karpowership project the power of friendship."
