Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu announced the government has taken measures against Russian sanctions which will ensure that exporters can enter new, alternative markets. Moreover, all required supports and incentives will be granted to the tourism sector, which may also suffer from the tension in-between the two countries. Speaking at the Justice and Development Party's (AK Party) caucus, Davutoğlu stressed that while Turkey is ready for discussions and meetings with Russia to resolve the crisis, they will not take orders or allow anything to be dictated. Turkey will also apply its own sanctions if it deems necessary as a measure against the Russian sanctions, and possible sanctions were discussed during the Cabinet meeting on Monday. Along with support provided for entry into alternative markets and tourism, Davutoğlu said the government will take steps to diversify export markets to support industry.
