French Servier moves operations to Turkey
The French pharmaceutical giant Servier has decided to partially carry its production to Turkey. The news regarding this decision was included in the invitation sent for the press meeting to be held by the company next week, but no other details have emerged regarding how, where and when the pharmaceutical company will transfer its production to Turkey as of yet.
According to the information published on the company's official website, the consolidated turnover of Servier, which currently operates in 146 countries, was around 4 billion euros in 2014.
Founded in Orleans, France by a medicine and pharmacology professor, Dr. Jacques Servier, in 1954 at the age of 30 by taking over a pharmaceutical company that only had nine employees at the time, Servier became the largest independent pharmaceutical company in France with more than 21,400 employees in 146 countries around the world. It is the second-largest French pharmaceutical company operating globally.
