Koza İpek's luxury cars to be sold via tender

A total of 22 luxury cars belonging to Koza İpek Holding will be sold via an open tender as per a court decision. Last year, by the request of the Ankara Public Prosecutor's' Office, the Ankara Fifth Criminal Court of Peace assigned trustees to administer Koza İpek Holding and its affiliate companies, which are alleged to have links with the Gülen Movement. The luxurious cars, including brands such as Lamborghini, Porsche, Bentley and Ferrari, will be available for public visit at the company garage before the tender, which is scheduled to take place on April 16. Furthermore, the market value of the cars for sale is assumed to range from TL 200,000 ($70,141) to TL 2.2 million. Authorized applications to bid for the tender will remain open until 3 p.m. on April 15. Also, temporary warranty deposits, ranging from TL 7,500 to TL 56,000, should be paid for the cars.Police launched a probe last August into Koza İpek Holding, suspected of financially supporting and disseminating propaganda for a terror organization. Police units from the Combating Organized Crimes branch of the Ankara Police Department raided the holding's 23 companies. The holding is suspected of providing financial support and distributing propaganda of the Gülenist Terror Organization (FETÖ), police sources said, which is led by United States-based imam Fethullah Gülen who lives in self-imposed exile in rural Pennsylvania. During the search, the police confiscated documents and computers belonging to the holding company.
