Boydak Holding Chairman and Kayseri Chamber of Industry President Mustafa Boydak has been taken into custody due to allegations of providing financial support to the Gülenist Terror Organization



Operations conducted into the Gülenist Terror Organization(FETÖ), also known as the "parallel structure" in the state, following the failed coup attempt have spread to the business world. Several people have been taken into custody or arrested, including Boydak Holding senior executives and Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Celal Sönmez and his two sons. Boydak Holding chairman and Kayseri Chamber of Industry president, Mustafa Boydak and two of his relatives were taken into custody in Kayseri.The operation started with allegations of "being FETÖ members and providing financial aid to the organization," as six people from the Boydak family were taken into custody.Boydak and the holding's senior executives, Şükrü Boydak and Halit Boydak, were detained in their homes.Operations are currently underway for the arrest of the holding's former chairman, Hacı Boydak, and İlyas and Bekir Boydak, who are known to be outside the city borders. Police searched the suspects' homes on Friday.Taken into custody in the investigation into the allegation of providing financial aid to the FETÖ, Boydak Holding's then chairman Hacı Boydak and executive board member Memduh Boydak were detained on March 6 and holding executives Erol Boydak and Murat Bozdağ were released by the court on the condition of judicial control. While Memduh Boydak is still in custody, Hacı Boydak was released on May 17 on his advocates' appeal. On July 28, Boydak Holding manager Şükrü Boydak, his wife Aliye Boydak and nine other people were arrested in Kayseri as a part of FETÖ operations.78 people detained in BursaAs a part of anti-FETÖ operations in Bursa, 78 people were taken into custody, including Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Celal Sönmez and his two sons. Trustees were appointed to Erfa Mühendislik, Ertur Mühendislik Ortadoğu Tekstil, Diyalog Müşteri Hizmetleri, ODEN Enerji, BJ Tekstil and Nurpak Boya operating under Akbulut Holding. Ortadoğu Tekstil had a 4.89 percent share of the no longer operating Bank Asya. Akbulut Group owner Ali Akbulut was a former beneficiary of the Zaman daily.
