Turkish small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in the defense and aerospace industries will meet international companies, that have significant achievements in these sectors, in Ankara from Oct. 11-13 as part of the Industrial Cooperation Days in Defense & Aerospace 2016 (ICDDA 16).

According to the Turkish Star Daily, as a result of studies conducted under the auspices of the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries, the world's leading defense and aerospace companies, including Boeing, Airbus, Sikorsky, Eads, Thales, Rolls-Royce, Lockheed Martin, Bae Systems, MBDA, Augusta Westland, Aircraft Philipp Group, Raytheon, Daher, Navantia, Thyssenkrupp, Ideal AerosMith, Triumph Group, Powell, Stelia, Kongsberg and Airconsult will hold bilateral talks with Turkish companies operating in these sectors in Ankara.

It is expected that hundreds of companies from a great number of countries will join the ICDDA 16 and hold more than 4,000 bilateral meetings. The event will be a technology platform which will help domestic and international companies establish new business networks and offer new cooperation opportunities.

The Defense and Aviation Cluster (OSSA) of the Middle East Industry and Trade Center (OSTİM), which leads the event, has been operating since 2008 in order to increase the share of domestic production in supplying the needs of defense and aerospace sectors and have SMEs operating in these industries be competitive in the international market. A conference titled "The Panorama of Defense, Aerospace and Offset Market in Turkey," will be held on the first day of the event. The participants will have a chance to hold bilateral business meetings on the second and third days of the event.
