Nusr-Et restaurants to be included in Turquality program
Nusret Gökçe, the owner of Nusr-Et restaurants, whose reputation has spread worldwide with the "salting" move he displays on social media, has taken steps to participate in the Turquality program while pushing to expand abroad.Explaining his international plans at his restaurant in Dubai, Gökçe stated that they have made applications to participate in the Turquality program.Turquality, the world's first government-sponsored program aimed at encouraging the steps of Turkish companies toward branding, provides companies with supports such as renting, promotion, consulting and advertising. Pointing out that they will soon be included within the scope of the Turquality program, Gökçe stated that the first step they want to take will be to open new restaurants in the U.S. and U.K.The opening date of Nusr-Et's U.S. and U.K. branches, which is currently operational abroad only in Dubai, will be mid-2017 as Gökçe indicated, "We will have opened restaurants in London and New York by June." Already an Instagram star in Turkey, videos of Gökçe chopping meat and seasoning it in perhaps the most "sensual" way possible went viral worldwide last month.Each of his videos has millions of likes, while internet memes of Gökçe began circulating on various social media platforms. Gökçe even inspired a new mobile game called "Salt Chef," developed by Perfect Tap Games DMCC.
