Designed and built by Turkish workers and engineers in the Antalya Free Zone, La Passion, a 46-meter luxury superyacht, has won the Neptune Award, which is regarded as the Oscar of the global yacht sector, at World Superyachts Awards 2017 on May 14 in Florence, Italy.

Having won the "Displacement Motor Yachts of Below 500gt - 43 meters and Above Award," La Passion's exterior design and naval architecture was done by world-renowned yacht designer, Tanja Kalaycıoğlu, while her interior was designed by Adam Lay Studio.

The 46-meter long and 9-meter wide luxury vessel comes at a cost of 22.5 million euros. She is also the largest motor yacht manufactured in Turkey to date, featuring a carbon fiber-reinforced superstructure on her steel body.

Super yachts Yard Manager Emre Şandan said that La Passion is the first luxury yacht built by Sarp Yachts, founded by the Kanatlı Family, owner of the ETİ Group of Companies and Sarp Havacılık Lojistik.

Founded five years ago, Sarp manufactures custom superyachts up to 80 meters in the Antalya Free Zone and with La Passion, has added a new feather to its cap.

"La Passion, built with the utmost effort of Turkish workers, engineers, and architects, has won the most prestigious awards in the superyachts world during the design phase and after launching in the sea," Şandan said, adding that the Neptune Award is a source of pride for Turkey and proves the country has made important progress in the superyacht sector.
