German delegation to invite Turkish businesses to invest

Turkey's economic growth has boosted German companies' appetite in the country as the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, a federal state that wants Turkish companies to invest in Germany, is set to meet business representatives in Istanbul and İzmir. To find investors, its delegation will explain investment opportunities to the Turkish business world.

The delegation will meet Turkish businessmen on Oct. 10 in Istanbul and meet representatives of the Aegean business community at the Aegean Exporters' Association on Oct. 11 and present investment opportunities in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

At the meeting, the undersecretary of the Economy, Labor and Health of Ministry of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Stefan Rudolph, will make presentations: "Commercial Relations between Turkey and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State" and "First-hand success stories."

Underscoring that Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State is centrally located in the heart of Europe, Aegean Exporters' Association (EİB) Coordinator Chairman Sabri Ünlütürk said Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has been a bridge between Eastern Europe, Western Europe and Scandinavia and that it has become an attractive market for various sector investors over the last 20 years.

Ünlütürk said that they seize every opportunity to develop trade between Turkey and Germany and recalled that they had successfully organized Turkish-German Economy Day in the Aegean Exporters' Association in cooperation with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ankara in May this year.

Ünlütürk also said Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State has economically transformed into the most developing region in Europe thanks to its modern infrastructure, suitable commercial and industrial areas, direct access to the Baltic Sea, ideal motorways, railways and sea and air links.

"Mecklenburg-Vorpommern therefore offers ideal conditions for all investors. Participation in the meeting of industrialists and businessmen who are planning to invest in Germany, the biggest foreign trade partner of Turkey and the Aegean region, will open up new opportunities for cooperation," he said.

Businessmen who attend the meeting will have an opportunity to learn more about Mecklenburg-Vorpommern State and current investment and incentive opportunities, as well as the opportunity to meet one-on-one with delegates after the meeting. The meeting will be attended by German consul general in İzmir, Rainer Lassig, who will present the opening speech.
