THY firm named best air cargo in Asia, Middle East


A subsidiary of Turkey's national flag carrier Turkish Airlines (THY), carrier Turkish Cargo successfully carried 810,000 tons of cargo and packages in the January-September period in 2017, marking a 27 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

Turkish Cargo was named "Air Cargo of the Year" during an award ceremony held annually in the sponsorship of Payload Asia magazine, receiving the most prestigious award in the air cargo industry which is given to outstanding companies in the sector. Payload Asia has been operating in the air cargo sector in the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East for 33 years.

The winners were voted upon by Payload Asia readers. The magazine is the official publication of the Federation of Asia Pacific Aircargo Associations (FAPAA), air cargo customers and business partners. The laureates were announced at a ceremony held with the participation of distinguished guests from around the world. The prestigious award of the year was granted to Turkish Cargo, which continues to boost its growth momentum and operational success.

Under the auspices of its global growth strategy, Turkish Cargo is progressing on its way to becoming the world's best air cargo carrier with 16 cargo aircrafts that carry cargo to 72 destinations in 60 countries, in addition to the 313 passenger air cargo capacity serving THY's 300 destination flight network.
