Mitsubishi Electric Corporation has announced that the new plant established by Mitsubishi Electric Turkey Klima Sistemleri Üretim A.Ş. in Turkey to develop and produce domestic air conditioners will start production on Dec. 12 with a view to expanding its operations in Turkey and Europe.

According to the statement released by the company, Mitsubishi Electric aims to increase business volume in Turkey and Europe, which are expected to increase demand for domestic air conditioners. The new plant located in the Manisa Organized Industrial Zone will cover an area of approximately 60,000 square meters with a floor area of approximately 40,000 square meters, while annual production is expected to reach 500,000 sets (indoor and outdoor units) as of the fiscal year ending in March 2021.

It was reported in Mitsubishi's statement that the company's air conditioning and cooling systems activities in Europe are expanding day by day and that demand in Turkey is expected to increase in parallel with the economic growth and population growth of the country. It added that the new plant is expected to respond to fluctuations in demand in Turkey and Europe and to play a key role in accelerating localization efforts to provide a flexible supply chain to meet specific preferences and environmental requirements for local markets.
