2nd International Antalya Cinema Days kick off


The 2nd International Antalya Cinema Days, organized by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and the Antalya Cinema Association, started on Friday.The event includes feature-length and short fiction films, documentary films, animation movies and experimental films from Turkey and abroad for three days.Movie directors, producers and actors/actresses shown during the event will meet audiences in interviews and workshops. There will also be a National Short Film Contest in which short films will be awarded. The contest is being held for the first time this year.Audiences will have the opportunity to watch dozens of movies for free in various categories such as the İzmir Short Film Festival International Anthology, the Tres Cuort International Film festival, the Gümüşhane Movie House Documentary Anthology and the Best 10 Animation Movies.After the screening of "Eski Koltuklar" (Old Sofas) directed by Tanju Berk, "Siyah Çember" (Black Ring) by Hasan Can Dağlı and "Mod" by Deniz Tarsus, Murat Tolga Şen and Murat Kızılca will discuss cinema.Meanwhile, Turkish film critics Alper Turgut and Saffet Serdar Akbıyık will share their experiences in cinema journalism with the audience. Banu Bozdemir and Fırat Sayıcı, members of the Turkish Film Critics Association (SİYAD), will also speak about Short Films and Festivals in Turkey.Tayfur Aydın, the director of "Siyah Karga" (Black Crow), and Erhan Tuncer, the director of "Ağustos Böcekleri ve Karıncalar" (Cicadas and Ants), will also meet the audience. Events in the 2nd International Antalya Cinema Days are free for everyone.
