Six new movies debut this week


"Spider-Man: Homecoming"

Directed by Jon Watts and starring Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Logan Marshall-Green and Kenneth Choi, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" opens this week.

After a sensational beginning in "Captain America: Civil War," young Peter Parker jump-starts his superhero career in this new spin. As first solo film of the Spider-Man series, the story revolves around Parker's attempts at a normal student life, while being drawn into saving the world as Spider-Man by the villain Vulture.

"The Violin Teacher"

From Brazilian director Sergio Machado, "The Violin Teacher" focuses on what an amateur orchestra that believes in the power of hope and love can do.

Starring Lazaro Ramos, Sandra Corveloni, Kaique de Jesus and Elzio Vieira, the film details the journey of a violin virtuoso obsessed with joining the Sao Paulo Symphony Orchestra. After his hopes are dashed, he works as a temporary music teacher at a high school in the most turbulent district of Sao Paulo, Heliopolis. Though things seem impossible at first, this inspirational group is able to overcome major obstacles to change the lives of the teacher and the orchestra's members.

"The Bye Bye Man"

"The Bye Bye Man" follows a group of young college kids who accidentally go up against the root of all evil. A horror-thriller starring Douglas Smith and Lucien Laviscount alongside Jenna Kanell, Carrie-Anne Moss, Doug Jones and Jonathan Penner, the film was directed by Stacy Title.

"Mine"

Co-directed by Fabio Resinaro and Fabio Guaglione, the film stars Armie Hammer, Annabelle Wallis, Tom Cullen, Geoff Bell and Juliet Aubrey.

A co-production of the U.S., Italy and Spain, the thriller starts with the capture of a dangerous American fugitive. Two soldiers are assigned the task of preventing a diplomatic crisis by discreetly taking down the target and immediately vacating the region. However, their presence is discovered through an unfortunate mistake and things end up getting out of hand.

"3 Generations"

Directed by Gaby Dellal, "3 Generations" stars Elle Fanning, Susan Sarandon and Naomi Watts.

Co-written by directors Gaby Dellal and Nikole Beckwith, the U.S. production focuses on the touching but joyful story of a family on the verge of an important decision.

"Spark: A Space Tail"

Written and directed by Aaron Woodley, "Spark: A Space Tail" tells the adventures of Spark and his friends who fight to save their planet from the evil General Zhong.

The film features Turkish dubbing by Ziya Kürküt, Hümay Güldağ, Atilla Şendil, Mazlum Kiper and Selçuk Kıpçak.
