Takeoff from Galata Tower after 385 years

On Oct. 28, the European Outdoor Film Tour (EOFT) will repeate the legendary attempt of Hezarfen (Polymath) Ahmed Çelebi, who flew from the Galata Tower to Üsküdar in windy weather in 1632. Including no scenario, montage, actors or special effects, only action, EOFT houses many events such as jumping from the Galata Tower, canoe competitions on the Golden Horn, diving in Kaş in Antalya and rafting in Rize, along with being a film event.

Bringing together adventurers and heroes who inspire outdoor enthusiasts, EOFT is being held in a non-EU country for the first time. The only quality of the event that pushes the limits of extreme sports is a real adventure. The reality will be transferred clearly in the organization where the films of adventurers who leave themselves to nature will take place. Having performed in more than 22 countries in 300 different places for more than 15 years, EOFT aims to increase consciousness of outdoor sports in Turkey.

Millions of followers in the world

Having millions of followers, EOFT will reveal the nature of Turkey, which is suitable for extreme sports. The other aim of the organization, which is supported by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and the Culture and Tourism Ministry General Directorate of Cinema, is to make a contribution to tourism in the country. The Turkish premiere of EOFT will be held at the Haliç Congress Center on Nov. 11.
